Our Story
Since growing up in Southwest Houston, on the edge of spectacular growth, I’ve been fascinated with Land Development. My first ever job—sweeping the floors of the local service station at 15 years old— showed me the spirit of Houstonians clear as day: we are a diversified hardworking people with a proclivity for ingenuity. It did not take long to figure out how I was to contribute and carry on this legacy.
After graduating from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, I began my Real Estate career in Dallas. In 1992, I relocated to Houston to run a Home Building and Land Development company. In 2002, I founded Compass Land Development. Compass Land Development has evolved into a multi-faceted land development company with a legacy built on three pillars— integrity, creativity and relationships. In 2010 I founded CLD’s sister company, Post Oak Property Management to recognize the holistic nature that is urban change and support the transition of our developments to living, breathing communities. We work closely with the largest home builders in the Houston market along with city governments to create lifestyle residential communities and expand commercial assets.
As a native Houstonian, it is a special privilege to influence the fabric of this worldly city by actively developing both residential and commercial tracts throughout the Houston Metropolitan Area.
